Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy Jupiter Florida

Veronica has authored articles on many subjects, including the following articles that may be of specific interest to those seeking individual therapy:

In some cases, a person may decide they want or need individual therapy – sometimes called “psychotherapy” or “counseling”. This involves the client working one-on-one with a therapist to explore their feelings and behaviors. The therapy may involve working through difficult memories, considering aspects of their lives that require change, and working towards that change by trying to better understand themselves and their relationships with others, and setting achievable personal goals.

There are many reasons an individual or a couple will consider therapy. Whether it is to deal with a distressing trauma from the past, to cope with unexpected challenges, to combat depression and anxiety, or a more general desire for personal growth and greater self-understanding, therapy can be an incredibly useful tool. Depending on each client’s personal and unique circumstances, they may work with their therapist for anything from a few sessions to several years.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy can be a useful tool to help resolve a current issue, stop an issue from getting any worse, or simply help a happy couple to work through a difficult period. Quite often the areas addressed involve money issues, health problems, sex, parenting disputes, addiction, emotional expression, conflict resolution, and infertility.

Family Therapy

Families may be interested in many of Veronica's articles, including:

Family therapy is a type of psychotherapy provided to help family members improve communication, resolve conflicts, or adjust to life changes. It may include all family members or just those who are able to participate with treatment plans being tailored to each individual family. Family therapy can help improve troubled relationships between spouses, children, or other family members and may be helpful in any family situation that causes stress, grief, anger, or conflict. While family therapy doesn’t automatically solve family conflicts or make all problems disappear, it can help family members understand each other better through learned coping skills that allow individuals to cope with life stressors in a more effective manner. A primary goal of family therapy is to help family members understand each other and become more united.

Adolescent Psychotherapy

Adolescent Therapy Jupiter Florida

Psychotherapy provides adolescents with an opportunity to explore the relationship among their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Games, role-play, and traditional talk therapy can be used to help facilitate the process. Working with adolescents requires additional knowledge as each developmental age and stage requires different therapeutic skills. With this, interventions vary with respect to the presenting problem, age, and other individual characteristics of the adolescent. Aside from relief of symptoms, therapy can also be beneficial in regard to building self-esteem, enhancing communication skills, and improving anger management as techniques are learned to manage emotions in time of stress.
